Molecular Techniques

We utilize a wide range of molecular techniques to study drug properties and their effects on biological systems Our lab is equipped with advanced instruments, including

  1. Liquid Chromatography Mass Spectrometry (LC MS/MS) LC MS/MS enables precise analysis and quantification of drug compounds, metabolites, and biomarkers in complex biological matrices This technique allows us to investigate drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, and biodistribution
  2. High Performance Liquid Chromatography ( HPLC is a powerful analytical technique used for separating, identifying, and quantifying drug compounds and their impurities We employ HPLC to assess drug purity, stability, and formulation
  3. Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT PCR) RT PCR enables the amplification and quantification of specific RNA molecules, providing valuable insights into gene expression profiles We leverage this technique to study the impact of drugs on gene regulation and cellular responses
  4. Cell Culture and In Vitro Assays Our lab maintains a cell culture facility, allowing us to perform a wide array of in vitro experiments These assays help us evaluate drug efficacy, toxicity, and mechanisms of action at the cellular level

  • Triple quadrupole LC MS/MS systems for highly sensitive and selective quantification of drugs and metabolites
  • High resolution mass spectrometers for accurate mass determination and structural elucidation of compounds
  • HPLC systems with various detectors, such as UV Vis, fluorescence, and diode array detectors, enabling comprehensive analysis of drug samples
  • Real time PCR machines for sensitive and quantitative gene expression analysis
  • Temperature controlled CO 2 incubators and laminar flow hoods for maintaining optimal cell culture conditions
  • Advanced microscopes for cellular imaging and analysis
